I stopped by this restaurant located near the Armstrong Museum in downtown, and had a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was delicious, and our waitress was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Great spot to grab a bite while exploring the area!

We had lunch here when visiting Wapak. We were a bit concerned when the place was basically empty and it was almost noon. It filled up rather quickly though. The service was awesome from the moment we were seated. We ordered a Reuben, an Italian Sub and a Pizza. The Wood Fired Ovens were used to cook the food and provided a great flavor. This was a WOW-Moment for sure. We will be back!

Stopped for lunch as we passed through town. My husband had the Reuben and it was the most tender corned beef we have had. I had the drizzled swine flatbread and was delicious and very flavorful. Courteous service and clean.

Fantastic food, great service...will be back again to try everything I didn't try this time. A real gem in small-town America!!

When we stood on a corner in Downtown Wapakoneta looking lost and confused on a Sunday afternoon, an older gentleman with a cane approached and asked if we needed help. We replied that we were looking for food but weren't sure which direction to walk. He gave us information and directions to four different restaurants. J Marie's was one of those four, and the wood-fired food called to us. It was just a short walk from where we were. My husband and I ordered what we thought were personal sized pizzas (we had leftovers!!!) and our son got the 'bison burger' with red potatoes after hearing two recommendations from local people (and seeing the burger delivered to the guy at the next table). We also added the sausage stuffed mushrooms. The food was delicious and it was all prepared in one of two wood-fired brick ovens (seen behind Michael's head in the one picture). I want to return to try some of the other wood-fired items on the menu. Staff was very attentive during our visit. Several people checked on us throughout the course of the meal. Great personalities, too. They made us feel welcome.

The food is great in this little place. Spinach dip is high quality and the shredded Rueben sandwich is a nice clean. Spinach salad was good but chicken was not cut great.

J Marie’s is one of our go-to spots for a quick cocktail and some great food and appetizers. They have a good variety of salads, appetizers, and main courses. To be honest, I never navigate too far away from their sandwiches and get a side of smoked Mac & Cheese. They make great cocktails for my wife and they often carry a good bourbon or 2, lately I’ve been lucky that they’ve had Weller’s Reserve. A double on the rocks and a Busch Light always hits the spot. Their sausage stuffed mushrooms are awesome and I get those for a my main meal and a salad. They are usually quite busy so it’s always good to get there a little early. We always belly up to the bar though, the bartenders take great care of us!!

Charming woodfired Grill in the heart of Wapakoneta, Ohio. When you enter you are cheerfully greeted and offered a seat. The layout is a galley style with the bar on the right and seating along the left side of the wall. The back of the house are the two wood fired ovens. The service is attentive and swift. The menu has a wide assortment of dishes that will suit all. On this trip we had the Buffalo cauliflower tacos, and Reuben sandwich with red potatoes.
